Crowns
1. Zirconia Crown
All-zirconia restorations are fully monolithic, containing no porcelain overlay. Although known for strength, modern zirconia also delivers impressive aesthetics, making it an excellent alternative to posterior PFM metal-occlusal crowns and full-cast metal options. Its virtually chip-resistant nature makes it particularly suitable for bruxers.
Zirconia crowns can be prepared using the same techniques as conventional PFMs, including butt shoulder, chamfer, or knife-edge finish lines. They can be fabricated with as little as 0.5 mm of occlusal reduction and, importantly, can be cemented with your preferred conventional cement.
We offer zirconia crowns and bridges from several leading systems, including Lava Plus and BruxZir.
2. Emax Crown
IPS e.max is a lithium disilicate glass-ceramic renowned for its optimized translucency, durability, and strength, making it ideal for full-anatomical restorations. Advancements in technology and refined processing have elevated IPS e.max beyond earlier generations of lithium disilicate materials.
With a flexural strength of 360–400 MPa, IPS e.max offers exceptional durability. When used in full-contour form, its monolithic structure is among the strongest ceramic systems available.
Its opalescence, translucency, and light-diffusing properties are engineered to closely mimic natural tooth enamel, delivering highly aesthetic and seamless restorations.
IPS e.max is suitable for veneers, inlays/onlays, single crowns, and anterior bridges, and can be placed using either conventional cementation or adhesive bonding.
3. Gold Crowns
We specialise in premium gold restorations known for their exceptional durability, biocompatibility, and long-term clinical success. Gold remains one of the most reliable materials in dentistry, offering unmatched longevity with a consistently superior fit.
Full Cast Gold Crowns
Our full cast gold crowns are an excellent solution for posterior teeth where strength and durability are essential. They provide:
- Outstanding resistance to wear
- Superior marginal integrity for long-lasting results
- Excellent biocompatibility with minimal sensitivity
- Gentle contact with opposing teeth, reducing wear on natural enamel
Available in a range of alloy choices to suit clinical and budget needs.
Gold Inlays & Onlays
Gold inlays and onlays offer a conservative approach to restoring damaged posterior teeth. These restorations provide:
- Minimal removal of healthy tooth structure
- Exceptional longevity compared to other restorative materials
- Highly accurate fit for optimal function and comfort
An ideal option for moderate-sized restorations requiring strength and precision.
Gold-Ceramic (PFM) Restorations
For cases needing both strength and enhanced aesthetics, we offer gold-based porcelain-fused-to-metal restorations. These combine:
- The accuracy of a cast gold framework
- The natural appearance of layered porcelain
Ideal for aesthetic zones where a premium PFM result is desired.
Alloy Options
- Precious alloys: High gold content for superior performance (~18K Carat)
- Semi-precious alloys: Durable with reduced gold content (~10K Carat)
- Non-precious alloys: Cost-effective without compromising reliability
- Silver non-precious alloys: Strong, affordable, and corrosion-resistant
The amount of alloy used will be based on application, and the price of alloy will be based on the current market rate.
